The
curtain has fallen on Appledore Book Festival 2008 and
everyone agrees that it was the best ever – yes, even better
than 2007!
Over 4000 people took
part in the packed public and vibrant school events and the
visiting authors had a fabulous time too as Penny Vincenzi
says it was: “The most beautiful festival ever.”
Look out
for the latest messages from the stars in the “All About Us”
section of this website. Look out also for the 2008 Festival
report, the enlarged Appledorian recipe download based on
the very successful event, and the article on finding the
lost Battle of Cynuit in North Devon.
But if you thought that
2008 was good just wait until you see Appledore Book
Festival 2009. It’s going to run from 26 September to 4
October and set to raise the festival standard yet again –
look out for more innovation, more big names and a few old
friends returning! Tickets and brochure will be out in May
so see you then!
